Key entrepreneurial traits of initiative, creative problem solving and survival become second nature for refugees. It's only logical refugees should use these skills and take ownership of their own lives.
We support refugees become economically engaged.
We help them overcome:
The digital divide,
Social exclusion & Poverty premiums.
In short, we help refugees generate wealth for themselves,
and create jobs for people around them.

Alternative finance allows us to take into account the human needs of the refugees we work with. We custom design financial service for their human needs. Our approach helps the refugees we support achieve an outcome. This human centred design approach is unique in the financial services world.
For example, our initial financial service was a micro-franchise fee micro loan, which is:
Interest free,
Collateral free
Offering Flexible repayments, and
creates a credit profile for the micro business.
This micro loan supports 3-5 refugees receive training, inventory and business mentoring to set up a successful micro business which allows them to earn living, pay back their loan and create jobs locally. It also helps them build a financial footprint and access the mainstream financial system as well.
Alternative finance is one of the financial sector's fastest growth areas; in the EU alone, it is worth over €10.44 bn. (Source: Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance Report, 2019). It is changing how we organise financial services. It is helping to financially include members of society who struggle to access mainstream services. For example, SME businesses, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and individuals with limited credit history.
Alternative finance covers new ways of accessing finance, such as crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending (both for businesses and individuals), BitCoin, revenue-based financing, real estate and invoice trading.
